Why hire a professional copywriter?

This is the second of a two part blog about copywriting. In Part 1 we looked at what copywriting is and why it is important. Here we are going to look at what a professional copywriter does and the advantages of hiring one.

As we found in the last post, the quality of copywriting can make a big difference to a business and hiring an expert to write your content can have many advantages.

Firstly, what exactly does a copywriter do? Don’t they just write? Writing is a big part of the job but to complete a project so much else needs to happen too. Any given project could require a copywriter to:

  • Research
  • Brainstorm (because good ideas don’t come from nowhere)
  • Interview
  • Project manage

And of course:

  • Write
  • Edit
  • Proofread

Copywriters are not only master wordsmiths (or Copysmiths, as I like to call them) but have worked on a vast variety of projects and know what works and what doesn’t.
