What experience do I have?
I founded Anita CopySmith in 2016, based on several years of writing and editing experience in different roles over the years.
I have experience writing for businesses in different industries, especially in the financial sector, where I have written a whole host of documentation and web content for companies such as financial advice firms, accountants and marketing agencies.
Also of note, I worked for a prestigious academic publisher as a Technical Writer, which involved writing Text Capture Instructions (documents outlining how to capture their text in XML) and best practice documents. With a background in technical writing, I can get to grips with complex information more easily.
Before setting up as a writer, I worked in various IT related roles, where I did things like web analytics, usability testing, SEO, and I project managed the implementation of a new CRM system and wrote the staff user guide. All good news if you’re in the Information Technology sector, as it’s an area I’m comfortable writing about.
With an MA in Publishing from University College London and a BA in Creative &
Professional Writing and English from the University of Wolverhampton, you can be confident that your copy is in good hands. Both degrees helped me to hone my writing skills and provided me with a foundation of knowledge that I have built upon over the years.

About me

Originally from Oxford, I live in Wolverhampton with my husband and a little person, who keeps me very busy when I’m not working from my office under the stairs, known as my “Harry Potter office” by friends and family.
I speak two languages (English and German), and I love reading about writing, advertising, marketing, and productivity. I also read lots of fiction. Some of my favourite authors include Terry Pratchett, Agatha Christie, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
